[ There's silence for quite a bit with just some quiet natural background noise, but then a gasp can clearly be heard. ] T-this place, where--? ... ... Heaven..?

[ The sound of someone standing up and then footsteps resounding against the stones. ]

But if it's heaven, then I.. ... Hmm.. [ The voice sounds a bit more doutful as the footsteps halt for a moment before continuing on. ]

Mom? [ The voice definitely sounds more excited. ] Mom! Mom, I'm here! It's me!

[ The excitement echoes away as she starts to sound a bit more insecure. The footsteps stop too, leaving a painful silence behind. ] Mom..? You're here, right? You're not hiding, are you..? You don't want to see me?

[ After a moment of silence she speaks up again. ] Dad? [ The voice gets softer and a tad more desperate too. ] Big bro?

You couldn't answer even if you knew, right? [ Her look turns slightly pouty but is still curious as well. She sits down on the ground instead of squatting. ]

[It pads towards her, and sits down in front of her, within reach. It blinks leaf-green eyes at her, flicks its tail again, and gives a purr. It's a fluffy little thing!]

[ Oh, how is she supposed to resist such a cute thing? She slowly and carefully reaches out to the cat, trying to make sure it doesn't run away, and tries to pet its head. ]

[Head pets! The little cat headbutts her hand encouragingly, purring again. Affectionate little thing, isn't it?]

[ This thing is the cutest in Nanako's eyes. She starts giggling as she gently strokes its back, looking happy. ]

Hee, you're so cute!

[It stretches, that purr sounding more like the engine of a mini tractor than a cat. Mewling again, it looks up at her again with those really very green eyes, nuzzling her curiously.]

[ She continues to stroke it, getting a bit curious as well. ]

Are you lost, kitty? I kind of lost Inaba, so..

[ Suddenly she seems to figure something out. ]

Ah, by the way, I'm Nanako! Do you have a name too? ... Wait, you can't tell me, right? Cats don't talk.

[If cats could look sympathetic, surely they would look like this. As it is, the expressions on the feline face are oddly human. But it says nothing, just purrs, rubbing against her hand.

And then sits down to look up at her again. It does seem to have some vested interest in her.

Faeries are very fond of children, after all.

Miaowing, it flicks its tail again before turning around and moseying away towards the trees. Can't get caught if there are other people on the way, can it?]
