[ When the feed starts, it's not directed at Nanako's face. Instead it's sitting on the table, so you can instead see Nanako sitting at said table, bent over a piece of paper. Her face is mostly hidden by her hair at the angle the communicator is at, but it seems she's focused on drawing something on the paper. ]

Um.. This sunday is the third sunday of June, right? And.. the third sunday of June is Father's Day!

[ Even as she speaks up she doesn't look at the camera, but her tone at the very least sounds pretty enthusiastic. ]

So I thought that even though Dad isn't here, I should make him a present! It's still Father's Day, after all.. And I thought he'd might like a drawing. I've gotten real good because I've been drawing so many pictures here of mister unicorn and everything else!

[ There's a slight pause as she adds some more scribbles on the paper. ]

That's right.. Even if Dad isn't here, he would still like a present.. and he'd like me to have fun.. right?

[ Slowly but surely the scribbling stops, at about the same rate the enthusiasm disappears from her voice and is rather left with something hollow, something that's oh so very clearly sad even if she tries to put up a tough front as usual. ]

S-so.. [ There's a pause where she's obviously struggling to find words. ] Hmm...

[ She quickly reaches over to the device, turning off the feed. ]

Why wouldn't there be? If we believe in it with all our strength such a thing as sending a drawing to your father should be a simple magic. I mean, people of all sizes are being brought here at any time, right? A drawing shouldn't be a big problem!

Though I'm not sure he will get it exactly on Father's Day to be honest.

Even if he doesn't get it exactly on Father's Day.. I'd still like it if he could get it soon. It's been a while, after all..

[ There's a slight giggle - perhaps a bit awkwardly still, but a giggle nonetheless. ]

I understand the feeling. And that's why I say that maybe he won't get it on Father's Day, by logic if we manage to send something over it would arrive at the time where you were there before.

Well, maybe we could just send it to the closest date to Father's Day? Do your cousin and you come from different times, Nanako-chan?

... [ She frowns a little.. something is off about that, isn't it? Even if most people in the village know what her relationship to Souji is, she.. hasn't seen this guy before, and.. ]

Is it? But Nanako-chan is such a sweet and good girl, I don't see why people wouldn't talk about her. I can easily see many people doing so:

[Cue fail imitation of a woman's voice.]

"Ah, Nanako-chan is such a sweet girl, she's doing pretty drawings for her father." "Oh what a good girl, I wish mine would be just as sweet!"

And before you know half the neighborhood is talking about you even if only one of them actually knows you. It's all your fault for being such a great kid, you know.

[ ... oh, Keiichi, that's seriously enough to make her blush. She's already a shy kid by nature, and if you start complimenting her and telling her many people might talk about her like that.. ]

R-r-really?! I didn't know it happened that easily.. And all that because.. I'm really a sweet and good girl?

[Eeeh, so cute, Nanako-chan! Keiichi laughs a bit.]

Exactly, it's all because of that. Though they probably would be talking about you a lot as well if you were a bad and rude girl, but if people are going to talk, it's better that they do it in a good way, right? Nanako-chan looks really cute too, I bet many talk about that as well.

[ Oh, some more shy blushing. If she had something to hide behind, she'd do it, but.. this is over the communicator, so she can't just easily hide behind someone else who's with her or whatever. ]

Um.. t.. thank you.. [ She's practically too blushy to say anything else now. ]

[He would be petting her head if she was within reach. So adorable.]

No need to thank me, I'm just saying the truth. Anyway, what are you going to draw to your dad?

[ She holds her drawing up to the camera - it's still obviously not done, but the main lines are there. And.. well, it's a kid's drawing. You can figure the quality of it. ]

I am drawing a family picture! It's me and Dad and Mom.. just like long ago.

[Of course it's perfect quality. A piece of pure art.]

I see, he will love it. You should do another family picture though, or include your cousin in that one, that's how your family is now, right?

["Just like long ago" does that mean her parents aren't together or something happened? Or does just refers to Souji being part of it? No, the pause before that didn't sound that way.]
